Situated in scenic parkland along the banks of the St. Lawrence River, the Civic Complex is a highly versatile and modern facility that is host many different types of activities from private meetings to major community events such as concerts, conventions and professional sporting competitions.
The heart of the Complex is the Ed Lumley Arena, a modern ice rink that boasts state-of-the-art rink boards, seating for up to 5500 people and a versatile sound and light infrastructure. Over the years it has played host to NHL hockey, professional ice skating and top entertainment acts such as Celine Dion, Randy Travis and Blue Rodeo.
The arena is part of a large conference facility that offers over a dozen meeting room totaling 20,000 sq.ft, making the Complex a major convention center in Eastern Ontario.
Complemented with a full service restaurant and situated in a picturesque waterfront setting at the edge of Cornwall's downtown shopping district, the Convention Center can easily accommodate events ranging from small meetings to large weddings and conferences. The Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame is also a part of the Civic Complex.
